The Whychus Creek Canyon House follows the traditions of northwest modern residential architecture with exposed beams, natural materials and siting that is both dramatic and sensitive to the landscape. Designed to accommodate three adults - a recently retired couple and a sibling - this single-family residence offers two living areas organized around a partially covered courtyard. The home is sited on a canyon rim outside of Sisters, Oregon and is distinguished by its long shed roof, which is oriented to take in views of the Three Sisters mountains, high desert plains and the creek below.
