SISTERS COFFEE: THE PEARL

It’s not often that we get a chance to design a space twice, but when we got the call that Sisters Coffee experienced severe water damage from a fire in their building, we hopped down to the site and got the new design started within days. The original Pearl District outpost of Sisters Coffee was designed and built in 2011 and was their first full-service location outside of Sisters, OR.

This project is a true Phoenix. Its re-birth is reflective of both Sisters Coffee’s evolution and our studio’s growth as designers. Sisters is now led by second-generation owners & siblings, and the interior serves as a visual representation of the changing of the guard. The modbar, situated on a horseshoe-shaped peninsula celebrates the drink preparation process and the Sisters’ baristas, who are notoriously the nicest in town.
